DingMe – Tip. Tap. Done.

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DingMe, a digital tipping platform that lets customers send tips to service workers and teams. By creating an account or using DingMe, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who Can Use DingMe

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. Workers must provide accurate information and keep their profile up to date.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Tips and Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. DingMe does not hold your funds. Tips are voluntary payments made by customers and are generally non-refundable once processed.

Each tip is subject to card processing fees (2.9% + 30¢) and a 1% DingMe service fee, which are disclosed to the customer before payment.

4. Payouts

To receive payouts you must complete Stripe Connect onboarding and provide accurate identity and bank information. Payout timing is determined by Stripe and your financial institution.

4.1 Fraud Prevention, Refunds & Chargebacks

Fraud monitoring. DingMe and our payment processor, Stripe, screen transactions to detect and prevent fraud, including card testing, stolen or unauthorized cards, and automated or bot-driven payments.

Our right to refund or cancel. We may refund, reverse, cancel, or decline any tip we reasonably believe is fraudulent, unauthorized, or suspicious, at our sole discretion and without notice. This includes many small charges from the same source, payments made with stolen card details, and tips the cardholder did not authorize.

Effect on workers. If a tip is refunded, reversed, or charged back, it is removed from the worker's earnings. If the funds have already been paid out, DingMe may deduct the amount from the worker's future earnings or debit the worker's connected Stripe account. Tips may be held for up to 2 days, or longer while a payment is under review.

Chargebacks and disputes. If a tipper disputes a charge with their bank, the tip may be held until the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is lost, the amount and any non-refundable processing or dispute fees may be deducted from the worker's balance.

Prohibited conduct. Workers may not tip themselves, solicit fake tips, test cards, launder money, or coordinate with others to create fraudulent transactions. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of the account, forfeiture of affected funds, and reporting to Stripe and law enforcement.

Fees on fraudulent tips. Service fees on tips refunded for fraud may be returned to the cardholder. DingMe is not liable for any loss a worker suffers from the reversal of a fraudulent transaction.

5. Tip Pools

Managers may create teams, shifts, and tip pools and distribute pooled tips among workers. Managers are solely responsible for the accuracy and fairness of distributions and for complying with all applicable wage and tip-pooling laws.

6. Taxes

You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on tips received through DingMe.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use DingMe for fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity, including money laundering, impersonating another person, or attempting to interfere with the platform's security.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

DingMe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DingMe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any amount greater than the fees you paid us in the prior twelve months.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of DingMe after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
